I am currently in the process of compiling philosophies from different religions to compose a system to teach my new baby about the spirit. I find it very important that every one has a connection with the spirit but I do not find it beneficial for one to seek from only one religion or point of view. I believe that all religions were given to us by the spirit to guide to oneness with the spirit.

It reminds me of a very wise quote I read once.

God has made different religions to serve different aspirants, times, and countries. All doctrines are only so many paths; but a path is by no means God Himself. Indeed one can reach God if one follows any of these paths with whole-hearted devotion......

It is a beautiful quote and one that I believe has started me off on the journey that I am now on.

Deme, it sounds to me like you are searching for 'the truth'?
Or did you already come to a conclusion?

The truth is something that comes from within. I am merely wishing to compile a bit of teaching to help my child as much as I can in his search for his truth. I do not want him to become another one who becomes comfortable with just going with what is told to him then not seeking for himself.

Which man reaches God first, the man who loves God or the man who hates him?

both or neither. it doesn't depend on man God reaches out to - but on God.

The man who loves God takes seven reincarnations to reach God, the man who hates him, takes three. Because the man who hates God seeks him more.

God doesn't hide from anyone. It only depends on whether the person seeks and listens.

Seek and ye shall find, those with ears let them hear.

From where do you take your information about how many reincarnations are taken?

LOl, it's an old indian quote, nothing more.....

More or less it is just teaching that you must seek God if you wish to find Him, just saying you love God and not seeking Him isn't enough.

I hope you weren't offended it's a little guote I read in Carl Jung's "The Archetype and the Collective Unconcious". I liked it and it made sense. The book was good too, a bit sexist on his portrayal of women, but Jung was in a time when women were not looked at kindly.

No, I was not offended at all I don't agree with the quote, but that is another matter.

How does one look for God?

How do you seek the Spirit??

Some seek it by diligent studying, others by nature, others meditation, everyone seeks the spirit differently. It doesn't matter how one seeks the spirit as long as they seek with whole-hearted devotion.
