BTW, you're wrong in your claim that nobody predicted the market drop. At any given time, there are hundreds if not thousands of pundits predicting every possible move in the market. All you have to do is get on a few mailing lists for investors, and whoever's been right for the last few months will be telling you so in very large print. Try subscribing to Forbes or Investor's Business Daily, and check the 'over $200K/year' box on the subscription form.

I did, Peat. I posted a similar message to misc.predictions.registry around the same time. I even predicted that the whole Internet business model would collapse, wiping out billions of dollars. Of course, I was stating the obvious. Anyone with a lick of common sense knew the markets, especially the Nasdaq, were primed to fall.
