There are warnings from the federal government about increased terrorist threat on the anniversary of 9-11. So lets look at the chart. I read from the moon (chandra lagna).
I don't see see terrorism as such. What I see is treacherous diplomacy (Venus in 8th in both Rasi and Navamsha), and the manipulation of the press (Mercury combust in the 7th in the Rasi, Rahu in the 3rd, and
Moon, Asc. Jupiter, and Ketu in Gemini in the Navamsha). The press becomes a niusance, but is handled, going to the 6th in the Navamsha.
Given the general danger of assassination in this month, which has already deleted a prominent Shiite figure, the danger I see is that of leaders and heads of state being lured into dangerous situations and then being assassinated.
The tithi of this chart - Krishna Pratipat - is known for scandal, and given the indications about the press here, this all may boil off into sandal, possibly involving the press itself.
It would seem superficially that Moon-Mars might result in violent terrorist activity. There may be the kind of terrorism which unfortuantely has become routine, but I don't see anything on the scale of 9-11. The Moon-Mars conjunction takes place in the Nakshatra
Shatabishak, which tends to internalize conflict, and the chart ruler is in the 5th - attempted terrorists will be apprehended.

I think the jerk is dead, Sp-ster. I think that getting exposed killed what was left of him. It's unfortunate. I much prefer growth and change to death, no matter how offensive and despicable the asshole.

Your attempt to draw attention to the weak-minded superstition you advocate through shameful exploitation of others' suffering has been duly noted.

My name is Jai, not Jay. One notes that you don't even mention your name in your posts.

Small, but important language points: the words are Chandr, Raashi, and Lagn (pronounced "lugn" . Also, Navaunsh is more accurate than Navamsa or Navamsha.

I appredicate your harrassment of Jay. It's what he deserves. But there are no native speakers of Sanskrit ANYWHERE. It's a dead language.

(I've decided not to use this name Jai for you anymore because I think it's bad for you.)
I appreciate your comments, but I will continue my present practices with these terms, for two reasons:
1. The Devanagari script has at least twice as many phonemic distinctions as does the Roman alphabet, with the result that transliterations from Devanagari to Roman are usually more or less ambiguous and arbitrary.
2. The ground-breaking Western Jyotisha adopted certain convenions with these terms, and those have become dominant in English language Jyotish sources, and those conventions are what I choose to follow. A typical example of this is David Frawley, who in his classic
*The_Astrology_of_the Seers* uses "lagna" and "chandra". Frawley is considered a pundit, if not a full-blown Acharya, by most Hindu
Jyotisha.
In general, for me the term is accurate if my readers know what
Sanscritic term I'm referring to. You may choose to correct me if you wish, and I'm not going to have a problem with it. But neither will I change my practice.

You are lying, Mr. Stevens. We already have evidence that your name is Jay and in fact you are without caste. I am not surprised that you are a liar and a kook.
